Georgia Historical Society unveils marker where first Coca-Cola was served

Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. and its global philanthropic arm The Coca-Cola Foundation announced that they are pouring money into improvements throughout the city's Centennial Olympic Park District. Coca-Cola Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Muhtar Kent announced the gift alongside Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed at a celebration hosted at the intersection of Peachtree and Marietta streets, where the first Coca-Cola was served 130 years ago on May 8, 1886, the company says.
Product hits market in conjunction with new ‘Ghostbusters’ movie

Fans of the “Ghostbusters” franchise have one more reason to celebrate this summer as Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s Hi-C brand announced release of Hi-C Ecto Cooler, a juice drink for those nostalgic for the 1980s and 1990s, the company says. Hi-C Ecto Cooler will be available for a limited time starting May 30. Its resurgence comes after a 15-year hiatus, as “Ghostbusters” hits theaters July 15.

Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Co., a division of Birmingham, Ala.-based Coca-Cola Bottling Co. United Inc. (Coca-Cola United), announced the official grand opening of its new 296,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility on Shepherd Road in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Financial results for the fourth quarter and full-year 2015 were released by Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. Full-year reported net revenue declined 4 percent while organic revenue grew 4 percent.
For the first time ever, Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. will employ a global marketing strategy that will unite multiple brands within the Coca-Cola brand portfolio.
This season, Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s flagship brand is making spirits brighter with the introduction of new holiday-themed Share a Coke packaging.
