Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based L.A. Aloe LLC, doing business as Aloe Gloe, announced an investment from the Venturing & Emerging Brands (VEB) unit of The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta.
Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. reported its second quarter 2016 operating results. Reported net revenue declined 5 percent, while organic revenue grew 3 percent, according to the company. Global volume year-to-date grew 1 percent and was even for the quarter, it added. The company also gained global value share in the non-alcohol ready-to-drink beverage market, it says.
As consumer demand continues to change, market research and analysts indicate that the U.S. market for carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) continues to struggle.
The Top 100 beverage companies once again saw a change at its top spot. Based on 2015 financial sales, The Coca-Cola Co. reclaimed the No. 1 spot despite experiencing a sales decrease in comparison to 2014.

Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. and its global philanthropic arm The Coca-Cola Foundation announced that they are pouring money into improvements throughout the city's Centennial Olympic Park District. Coca-Cola Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Muhtar Kent announced the gift alongside Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed at a celebration hosted at the intersection of Peachtree and Marietta streets, where the first Coca-Cola was served 130 years ago on May 8, 1886, the company says.

Fans of the “Ghostbusters” franchise have one more reason to celebrate this summer as Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s Hi-C brand announced release of Hi-C Ecto Cooler, a juice drink for those nostalgic for the 1980s and 1990s, the company says. Hi-C Ecto Cooler will be available for a limited time starting May 30. Its resurgence comes after a 15-year hiatus, as “Ghostbusters” hits theaters July 15.
