New labels for premium bourbon and rye whiskey lines feature detailed turkey illustration

Wild Turkey, a brand of San Francisco-based Campari America, a division of Gruppo Campari, debuted a new look for its premium bourbon and rye whiskey range. Although no changes were made to the liquid, Wild Turkey designed the new packaging for its global line of products to better reflect the core values of the brand, it says. A new, detailed turkey illustration now can be found on every expression, most prominently displayed on Wild Turkey 101, and depicts a spirited bird that is authentic, proud, and bold, it adds.
Bourbon pays homage to Treasury Agent John E. Fitzgerald

Heaven Hill Brands, Bardstown, Ky., announced the one-time release of John E. Fitzgerald Very Special Reserve Bourbon. Comprised of 12 barrels of wheated bourbon produced at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, original home of Heaven Hill’s Old Fitzgerald and ancestor of the Larceny brand, the ultra-rare release will offer an extraordinary sensory experience and a glimpse at the DNA of bourbon lore, the company says.

Fastest-growing brands and categories re-shape spirits industry

Three of the top five fastest-growing spirits brands are vodkas, but whiskey is the category with the most momentum, according to the 2015 SpiritsTAB Report from Chicago-based Technomic Inc.
Bacardi Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, expanded its portfolio of super-premium spirits with the acquisition of Louisville-based Angel’s Share Brands; its subsidiary, Louisville Distilling Co.; and its Angel’s Envy brand. This deal marks the company’s entry into the bourbon category of the North American whiskey sector.
Changes come as spirits company approaches 80th anniversary

Just before its 80th anniversary, the former Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc. unveiled a new corporate name, Heaven Hill Brands, and a new logo that captures the Bardstown, Ky.-based company’s evolution from a leader in American whiskey production to the nation’s sixth-largest distilled spirits supplier, it says.
In honor of the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience’s one-year anniversary, Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc. released a 2005 vintage Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon.
