Chameleon joins portfolio of impact-focused food and beverage brands

Newport Beach, Calif.-based SYSTM Foods, an impact-focused food and beverage brand platform, announced the acquisition of Chameleon Organic Coffee from Nestlé USA Inc. Chameleon is a leading provider of organic, sustainably grown and ethically sourced coffee and joins the SYSTM Foods portfolio of brands, including plant-powered functional beverage brand, REBBL.
Family-owned Italian coffee company Lavazza announced the launch of organic ready-to-drink cans of refreshing cold brew coffee in four flavor profiles: Classic Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Cappuccino Cold Brew with Milk and Double Shot Cold Brew with Oat Milk.
Ingredient supplier Flavorchem released the top trends in premium coffee innovation, which it notes was propelled during the pandemic as consumers look for elevated at-home coffee experiences.
In collaboration with coffee legend and pioneer George Howell, Cold Brewtus Inc. announced the newest addition to its product lineup: George Howell Reserve.

Emeryville, Calif.-based REBBL, a plant-based functional beverage brand founded to make a positive social impact and uphold human rights, is making health-conscious soda and a functional coffee solution with the launch of two new product lines: REBBL POP, a sparkling functional soda, and REBBL Stacked Coffee, a plant-powered cold-brew with additional health benefits.
Experts note the pandemic likely contributed to at-home coffee consumption, making single-serve the largest segment of the category. However, growth driven by convenience and consumers’ premium preferences also drove notable growth in the RTD category.
Philadelphia-based La Colombe Coffee Roasters introduced three new cold brew products: Extra Bold 42-ounce multi-serve, Nitro Cold Brew with Lemon and Hazelnut Draft Latte.
Conducted by One Poll on behalf of Califia Farms, a recent study of 2,000 American coffee drinkers compared the lifestyles of hot coffee and cold coffee drinkers ― highlighting that the type of coffee tells a lot about consumer demographics.
