Next month, for the first time, Diet Coke, a brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co., will be available in millions of unique package designs with the launch of the Diet Coke It’s Mine program, the company says. The initiative, a continuation of the brand’s Get A Taste campaign, launches Feb. 1.
Dark Currant Cider mixes black currants and apples

Corvallis, Ore.-based 2 Towns Ciderhouse announced the release of its latest limited-release cider — The Dark Currant. The winter cider combines apples and local black currants. The black currants are noted for complex tannins, high acidity and earthy flavor profile, much like a traditional cider apple, the company says. The result is a 6 percent alcohol-by-volume cider rich in tannins with notes of cherry, rose and light wood, it adds.

Providence, R.I.-based Narragansett Beer announced the release of Big Mamie Indestructible American Pale Ale, a sessionable ale that pays homage to the USS Massachusetts. The release commemorates the 50th anniversary of maritime museum Battleship Cove and Narragansett’s own efforts to save the impenetrable warship many years ago, the company says.
