Craft brewing group addresses carbon intensity, waste prevention, community support

Craft Brew Alliance Inc., Portland, Ore., released its fourth annual sustainability report. The report provides an in-depth look at the company’s accomplishments in three focus areas: carbon intensity, waste prevention and local community giving.
Completing its Nitro packaging lineup, Left Hand Brewing Co. is introducing Milk Stout Nitro in cans this year. The release will make the company’s most popular beer more accessible than ever, it says.
Northern Maverick’s first beer to be available this summer

As Northern Maverick gears up for a summer launch, the Toronto craft brewer announced its first beer as part of a charitable line of beers that will be available at its Bathurst brewery/restaurant, onsite beer shop and through direct delivery in Ontario.
Oakland United Beerworks, Oakland, Calif., launched its new brand/label. The new brand has evolved from Linden Street Brewery, which originated in 2009.
At a time when the divisive nature of the United States is receiving much attention, it seems as though we have found a topic that both sides can agree upon: craft beer. In late January, the Craft Beer Modernization and Tax Reform Act was introduced in both chambers of Congress with bipartisan support.
