Old Overholt, a brand of Beam Suntory Inc., introduced the newest product in its portfolio: Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye Whiskey. At 100 proof, the bonded whiskey is aged for four years and is a dark honey brown in color, the company says. On the nose, the whiskey offers notes of oak, caramel and hints of vanilla, it says. On the palate, the whiskey offers flavors of Char, spice and fresh oak, and the finish offers char notes with a hint of light fruit, it adds. Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye Whiskey is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
