Beam Suntory Inc.’s Alberta Distillers launched its premium rye whisky, Alberta Rye Dark Batch Whisky, in the U.S. market. The whisky features a rich color and complex flavors of honey and oak, and imparts hints of vanilla, smoke, sweet oak and savory dried fruit, the company says. The 90 proof spirit features a blend of 91 percent rye whisky, 8 percent bourbon and 1 percent sherry. It is available in 750-ml bottle for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
