Vita Coco expanded into the sports drink category with its new line of Vita Coco Sport beverages. Available exclusively at Target stores as part of the retailer’s “Made to Matter – Handpicked by Target” collection of natural, organic and sustainable brands, Vita Coco Sport drinks are natural and feature coconut water, sea salt and sugar to help replenish lost nutrients after exercise, the company says. In particular, the beverages contain 210 mg of potassium, 110 mg of sodium and 10 grams of sugar in an 8-ounce serving. The line is available in Fruit Punch, Black Cherry, Dragon Fruit, Orange and Lemon Lime flavors. An 18-ounce bottle has a suggested retail price of $1.99.
