Organic revenue grew 3.3 percent in the quarter and 3.9 percent year-to-date, and core constant currency operating profit rose 3 percent in the quarter, reflecting increased advertising and marketing expense and $28 million of incremental investments.

Worldwide volume grew 2 percent in the quarter and year-to-date, with North American volume up 1 percent in the quarter and year-to-date, the company reports.
Victor, N.Y.-based Constellation Brands Inc. reported a successful second quarter of its 2014 fiscal year following the integration of its newly acquired brewery operations. As a result of the Mexico City-based Grupo Modelo U.S. beer business acquisition, the company recorded a $1.6 billion non-cash gain on the re-measurement to fair value of the company’s original 50 percent interest in Crown Imports LLC, Chicago. In addition, the consolidation garnered $763 million of incremental net sales, boosting overall consolidated net sales for the quarter.

Globally, the company reported volume growth of 1 percent in the second quarter and 3 percent year-to-date as well as global volume and value share growth in total non-alcohol ready-to-drink (NARTD) beverages as well as in both sparkling and still beverages.
The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, announced its 2011 full-year and fourth quarter results highlighted by 5 percent full-year global volume growth. The global volume growth was driven by 5 percent international volume growth and 1 percent organic volume growth in North America. Trademark Coca-Coca was up 3 percent for both the full year and fourth quarter, leading its growth, the company said.
