Limited-edition craft beer a part of the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream program

Samuel Adams, a brand of Boston-based The Boston Beer Co., released Time Hop Porter, a limited-edition hopped porter brewed with San Diego-based ChuckAlek Independent Brewers. The collaboration beer is the culmination of a year-long program, Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Brewing and Business Experienceship, which annually provides one craft brewer with hands-on brewing and business coaching, the company says. Sam Adams established the program to help small-craft breweries get a leg-up in the industry, it adds.
The Boston Beer Co. Inc., Boston, reported second quarter 2015 net revenue of $252.2 million, an increase of $20.6 million or 9 percent versus the same period last year. This increase is mainly due to core shipment growth of 7 percent, the company says.

To continue to expand its coaching and mentoring program to small businesses across the country, Boston Beer Co.’s Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream announced a partnership with Entrepreneur Media to host the second annual Pitch Room Wild Card Competition. The virtual competition will be hosted on www.entrepreneur.com and allows small-business owners to submit a product sales pitch for a chance to participate in the in-person final round and pitch to a panel of expert judges and retail buyers, the company says.

The Boston Beer Co. Inc., Boston, reported a net revenue increase of 28 percent to $231.6 million in the second quarter of 2014, up $50.3 million from the prior-year period.
Boston-based The Boston Beer Co. Inc. reported its first quarter 2014 net revenue totaled $183.8 million, an increase of $47.9 million or 35 percent compared with the prior-year period. The company attributes this growth to a 32 percent increase in core shipments. Net income for the first quarter was $8.3 million, an increase of $1.4 million from the first quarter of 2013, also primarily due to shipment increases that were partially offset by increased investments in advertising, promotional and selling expenses, and the impact of a favorable federal income tax settlement.
