Just in time for Dry January, pop icon Kylie Minogue takes center stage once again with the launch of Kylie Minogue 0% Sparkling White Wine Alternative.
This new offering marks a new phase for Kylie Minogue Wines’ portfolio as demand for alcohol alternatives continues to rise, the company says. Like its portfolio partner Kylie 0% Sparkling Rosé, Kylie 0% Sparkling White is not produced with alcohol that is later removed; instead, the innovative production process generates no alcohol yet delivers all the subtle flavors and characteristics of a traditionally fermented wine, with delicate notes of jasmine and a refined finish, it notes.
“Wine is such a historic part of our gatherings and celebrations, romantic evenings and after-work wind-downs. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to start this venture — the ‘experience’ of wine,” Minogue said in a statement. “The importance of the moment, be it solo or shared with others, can now be cherished with a non-alcoholic wine. Our 0% tastes like the wine you may be accustomed to but without the alcohol or calories you would expect. I’m so happy our delicious new 0% Sparkling White can sit perfectly next to our 0% Sparkling Rosé, shimmering away and ready for your next special moment. Time to celebrate.”
Stephen Brauer, CEO of Evaton, the brand’s U.S. importer, added: “Currently, the NOLO (non and low alcoholic beverages) category is booming in the U.S., accounting for over $414 million in sales — it’s up plus 28% in sales and 19% in volume, highlighting the demand not just for NOLO options, but premium options, reflective of traditional wines. What sets Kylie’s portfolio of non-alcoholic wine alternatives apart is how artfully crafted they are. Our team has worked tirelessly to produce a product that is well-balanced and refreshing from first sip to last drop, and 0% White is no exception.”
Kylie 0% Alcohol Sparkling White is produced with hand-picked premium European grapes fermented with green tea from the Liu-Da Mountains of Yunnan, according to the company. The fermentation method reduces sugars by up to 30% — generates no alcohol yet delivers all the subtle flavors and characteristics of a traditional wine —with only 26 calories in each 4-ounce serving, it notes.
Available in select retailers and online partners, Kylie 0% Sparkling White will be sold in 750-ml bottles and will begin rolling out nationwide in early January for a suggested retail price of $15.99 a bottle, the company says.
