No matter the season, it seems as though consumers are more and more interested in canned cocktails. Facts.MR released its report titled “Canned Cocktails Market,” in which it notes that the global canned cocktail market captured a valuation of more than $25 billion in 2020, and is expected to register a compound annual growth rate of 20% from 2020 to 2030.

In late 2023, behavioral research platform Veylinx released a year-over-year study detailing consumer demand for both non-alcoholic and alcoholic canned cocktails, which found a 4% increase in demand for non-alcoholic canned cocktails compared with last year. That demand was greater for alcoholic canned cocktails, with demand up 20% compared with last year.

Given the growing popularity of canned cocktails, consumers might be eager to celebrate International Canned Cocktail Day, taking place Sept. 10. To help them mark this day, below are some recent canned cocktails that just hit the U.S. market:

Sun & Shine Cocktails: Sonoma Craft, the portfolio best known for Golden State Cider, recently announced Sun & Shine Cocktails in three artisanal offerings: Valencia Orange Mimosa, Pineapple Mimosa, and Hibiscus Spritz. The ready-to-drink (RTD), brunch-inspired trio will soon be available in a four-pack of 12-ounce cans with a suggested retail price of $15.99. Each offering is crafted with real, whole ingredients, feature a 10% ABV, and are gluten-free, vegan-friendly and contain no added sugar.

10 Barrel Brewing Co.’s Disco Lemonade and AMF: 10 Barrel Brewing Co., a subsidiary of Tilray Brands, introduced its ready-to-drink canned cocktails: Disco Lemonade and AMF. These spirited concoctions mark an expansion of 10 Barrel’s lineup of RTD cocktails. Made with real ingredients and no artificial flavors, Disco Lemonade is a fusion of vodka, real lemons, and a hint of huckleberry, offering a citrusy burst of flavors perfect for any dance floor. AMF pays homage to the classic cocktail with its nostalgic neon blue hue and potent blend of vodka, rum, gin and tequila. Both Disco Lemonade and AMF boast a formidable 13.9% ABV.

Tip Top Proper Cocktails Naked & Famous: Tip Top Proper Cocktails announced the debut of an all-new, ready-to-enjoy 100-ml canned cocktail: Naked & Famous. The mezcal cocktail is a collaborative release with Joaquín Simó, the legendary barman who originally created it around 2011 while working at New York City’s Death & Co., it says. At once smoky, bitter, citrusy, and herbaceous, the vibrant orange cocktail marks the first of three modern classic cocktails to be launched by the innovative brand so far this year, it adds. Leaning into the surge in popularity of mezcal in recent years, Tip Top’s Naked & Famous is a ready-to-drink (RTD) version available for consumers. Naked & Famous four-packs and individual cans are now available in retail stores and bars in select states.
