Grain & Barrel Spirits has released Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. Made in partnership with Bardstown Bourbon Co., the new expression was 100 percent distilled, aged and bottled in Kentucky, in a Prohibition-era Chicken Cock replica apothecary bottle. The whiskey has a mahogany hue; a nose that balances oak tones with sweet notes of dried fruit, caramel, and vanilla; and a palate that opens with soft tannins, with a vanilla finish, the company says. The whiskey is 45 percent alcohol by volume and is available for the suggested retail price of $69.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
