Multi-Platinum recording artist Kevin Gates unveiled a new flavor in his I Don’t Get Tired (#IDGT) line of energy drinks: I Don’t Get Tired Pineapple. The new pineapple flavor, which was developed by Gates, has been shipped to select distributors and now is available in select stores and online, he says.
The Bread Winners’ Association MC entered the beverage business in 2014 when he first launched the #IDGT energy drink. The energy drinks are sold to audiences at Gates’ headline shows throughout his two-part Islah Tour, which celebrated his debut album and sold out in every date across North America, he says. The drinks also are sold online at iDontGetTired.com and have been distributed throughout several cities, including Baton Rouge, La.; New Orleans; Los Angeles; Atlanta; Washington D.C.; Baltimore; Las Vegas and more.
The name of the energy drink coincides with one of Gates’ Platinum-certified singles, “I Don’t Get Tired (#IDGT) Ft. August Alsina,” which has become an anthem for the #IDGT viral campaign and social media movement, he says. Gates’ use of the phrase, “I don’t get tired,” represents his overall, hardworking attitude as a rapper, businessman and parent, he says. The #IDGT hashtag has been used more than 1.2 million times on Instagram alone and has received countless placements on other social media platforms, he adds. Gates — who now has more than 10 million followers across his social media platforms — released a video for the anthem, which surpassed 2.5 million views in less than one month and now has more than 40 million views, he says.
