Venturi Brands LLC now offers its Vicomte Single Malt French Whisky in select markets. The whisky is aged for at least eight years in barrels that previously aged cognac. Vicomte is made from 100 percent organic barley, which is harvested from the same region in which the whisky is produced, the company says. On the nose, the spirits offers notes of orange, apricot and banana, while the palate experiences flavors of candied apple, fresh citrus, caramel and figs, it adds. The 40 percent alcohol-by-volume whisky is packaged in 750-ml bottles that retail for $42.99.
