Expanding on its portfolio of craft spirits, Union Horse Distilling Co. launched Reunion Straight Rye Whiskey and Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Reunion Straight Rye Whiskey is a 93-proof, small-batch, 100 percent rye whiskey handcrafted in a copper still and aged in signature oak barrels. It features smooth, complex notes of butterscotch, caramel, ginger and cinnamon, the company says. Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 92-proof, small-batch, artisanal whiskey, is distilled from a sour mash recipe in the copper pot still and aged in signature oak barrels. It features notes of creamy vanilla, maple and smoke, it adds. Each whiskey is aged for as much as five years. Reunion Straight Rye retails for $39-$41, and Reserve Straight Bourbon retails for $36-$38.
