Hood River Distillers added Trails End Bourbon to its portfolio. The 45 percent alcohol-by-volume Kentucky straight bourbon is finished with Oregon oak staves, the company says. Trail’s End Bourbon offers the aroma of floral honeysuckle, apricot, spearmint and orange blossom with roasted hazelnut and traces of cereal and chocolate, it adds. Additionally, the new bourbon also offers a sweet malt and chocolate flavor bolstered by toasted hazelnut with notes of tobacco and a touch of rye with a long and warm finish, oily and buttery with a malt spice and slight char note, the company says. Packaged in a 750-ml glass bottle, the ultra-premium bourbon is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $49.95.
