Project Juice, San Francisco, launched a new fall seasonal creation — Camu Superstar — an Amazon superfruit rich in antioxidants and vitamins C and A, the company says.
The cold-pressed juice features a combination of root vegetables, citrus and camu camu (myrciaria dubia) and delivers more than 500 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins A and C, potassium and B vitamins, the company says. The immunity booster-containing juice also contains vital amino acids, some not produced by the body, which aid in digestion, muscle and bone tissue growth, it adds.
“We are pleased to be able to combine a powerful superfruit with the bounty of fall harvest to create an innovative new seasonal blend that offers significant immune and boosting benefits,” said Lori Kenyon Farley, Project Juice co-founder and director of product development, in a statement.
In addition to camu camu, the blend contains sweet potato, orange and carrot. The juice retails for $9, and is available online and at Project Juice locations in Southern and Northern California.
