Kahlua, a brand of New York-based Pernod Ricard USA, released its latest limited-edition offering: Kahlua Salted Caramel. This new flavor from the brand was formulated to liven up an iced coffee and to give cocktail lovers a refreshing and delicious twist on their seasonal favorites for spring and summer enjoyment, the company says.
Kahlua Salted Caramel features a blend of salty and sweet to entice those looking to expand their beverage options in the form of a frozen or iced cocktail to enjoy in warmer temperatures, according to the company. The notes of salted caramel were selected because of their ability to balance with the taste of the rum and coffee liqueur, allowing for a sweet indulgence, it says.
“Kahlua is always committed to delivering innovative flavor offerings that take various drinking occasions to the next level,” said Brian Mequet, vice president of rum and liqueurs for Pernod Ricard USA, in a statement. “While staying true to the classic taste that consumers love, Kahlua Salted Caramel builds upon the success of our other limited-edition flavors and offers new ways to enjoy classic cocktail favorites with an added twist.”
Available at retail, Kahlua Salted Caramel is 20 percent alcohol by volume and has a suggested retail price of $17.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
