E. & J. Gallo, Modesto, Calif., announces the latest addition to its expanding spirit portfolio: Viniq, a shimmery liqueur.

Viniq Original fuses premium vodka, Moscato, natural fruit flavor, and a unique shimmer to create a new kind of spirit, the company says. E. & J. Gallo created this liqueur to offer on-trend millennial consumers a new spirit with a unique look that shimmers when shaken, it explains. The shimmer is made from the same ingredient that gives frosting and rock candy their sparkle.

Viniq has been coined the largest new trademark introduction in distilled spirits since 1978, based on sales growth following the regional product launch, the company says. Viniq now is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 750-ml bottle and $12.99 for a 375-ml bottle. Viniq shimmery liqueur is best served straight, on the rocks, or with favorite mixers for a shimmery cocktail experience, it adds.
