Island Club Brands added a cherry cola flavor to its Chicken Cock whiskey brand. Chicken Cock Cherry Bounce puts a modern twist on one of the country’s oldest liquor recipes, which featured cherries mixed with distilled spirits and sweetened with sugar, the company says. The original recipe rose to popularity in Colonial America, with George Washington taking canteens of it on his explorations following the Revolutionary War, it notes. A 750-ml bottle of Chicken Cock Cherry Bounce has a suggested retail price of $19.99.
