Asheville Distilling Co. launched two whiskeys under its Troy & Sons brand. Troy & Sons Oak Reserve is a lightly aged whiskey that is handcrafted from a selection of rare heirloom white Crooked Creek corn and Appalachian Mountain spring water. Using only the hearts from each batch, Troy & Sons Oak Reserve then is aged in American-made bourbon barrels. Troy & Sons Platinum, on the other hand, is an unaged white whiskey also made from white Crooked Creek corn and pure Appalachian Mountain spring water. A 750-ml bottle of Troy & Sons Oak Reserve retails for approximately $34.99, and the same-sized bottle of Troy & Sons Platinum has a suggested retail price of $29.99.
