Bethesda, Md.-based Honest Tea, an independent operating unit of The Coca-Cola Co., released a video tailored for online viewing titled “If It’s Not Real, It’s Not Honest.” To celebrate the brand’s use of organic ingredients in its brewed tea, the video shows footage and close-up images of organic and Fair Trade Certified tea bushes, sharing the story of how Honest Tea is made.
“Our organic ingredients are beautiful, simple and delicious,” said Seth Goldman, co-founder and TeaEO of Honest Tea, in a statement. “We want to share our story in a way that is transparent and communicates what our drinks and our brand are about.”
Created in collaboration with creative partner Mullen and media planning partner Ikon3, the new video is part of Honest Tea’s “Refreshingly Honest” campaign that includes outdoor and in-store advertising. The video introduces the ingredients in a style that echoes the classic rhyme, “This is the House that Jack Built,” which also reflects the simplicity of the ingredients in the tea, the company says.
The video began appearing in Men’s Health and Women’s Health digital properties June 3 as well as on a network of sites that cater toward audiences with active lifestyles, the company says. To view the video, click here.
