Heineken USA Inc., a subsidiary of Heineken International BV, relaunched its Newcastle Summer Ale for a limited time. Brewed with Optic malts as well as Styrian Golding and Challenger hops, Newcastle Summer Ale has 4.4 percent alcohol by volume and 26 international bittering units. The beer is brewed in partnership with the historic Scottish Caledonian Brewery. Newcastle Summer Ale is available nationwide through July in six-packs and 12-packs priced comparably to Newcastle Brown Ale, the company says. It also will be available on draft at pubs in select markets.
