Dos Equis, a premium Mexican beer brand of White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA Inc., introduced a new, fully integrated digital retail and on-premise promotion aimed at driving sales during a period when beer sales typically hit a lull, the brand says. Dos Equis Marks the Spot will run from Feb. 1 through the end of March, with targeted digital platforms and in-store elements inviting consumers to participate in a daily virtual treasure hunt to locate the brand’s famous XXs for the chance to win the “most interesting” winter experiences.

This holiday season, White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA is offering consumers of legal drinking age the ability to enhance their parties and get-togethers with the Heineken beer brand. The brand’s #SparkMyParty holiday delivery service will bring holiday plus-ups right to consumers’ doorsteps, the company says.
Consumers of all ages use Facebook to digitally connect with friends, and now consumers of legal drinking age can use the social media site to serve up some friendly fun in real life.

Sixty million adults consumed an average of at least one glass of bottled still water in each of the past seven days, reports Packaged Facts, the Rockville, Md.-based division of MarketResearch.com. According to a new report titled “Bottled Water in the U.S.” by the market research firm, the majority of these consumers tend to be younger than the adult population as a whole. Consumers in the 35- to 44-year-old age group exhibit the highest likelihood of frequent bottled water consumption, it states in the report. These consumers also are interested in staying physically fit and also are more likely to drink thirst-quencher or activity drinks, it states.
