Foodservice operator will open 8 pop-up Pumpkin’ restaurants for early tastings

The calendar and climate still say summer, but for pumpkin lovers across the country, the excitement and demand for the favorite flavor of fall already is here. Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ is fulfilling fans’ fall wishes by bringing back classic Pumpkin Flavored Coffees, introducing a new pumpkin espresso beverage and even rebranding eight Dunkin’ shops across the U.S. as Pumpkin’ to serve guests a first taste for free.
Although food and beverage manufacturers continue to develop products that support healthy, better-for-you solutions, indulgent offerings still remain a key component to consumers’ consumption habits.
Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo released its limited-time snack and beverage offerings for the holiday season. New holiday products this year include Mnt Dew Merry Mash-Up, Mtn Dew Ice Cherry, Pure Leaf Apple Cider Flavored Iced Tea and the bubly holiday pack available online, the company says. Returning this year is the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha ready-to-drink (RTD) Iced Latte.

Sparkling Ice, a brand of the Talking Rain Beverage Co., Preston, Wash., introduced Cranberry Frost, a new limited-edition flavor launching just in time for the holiday season.
Planters Peanuts, a brand of The Kraft Heinz Co., Pittsburgh and Chicago, launched Mr. IPA-Nut, the company’s first foray into the craft beer market. Citing a study conducted by 1Q from July, 64 percent of men agree nuts are the best salty snack to pair with beer, the company says.
