The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) officially launched the Building Relationships and Empowering Women (BREW) initiative at its 84th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas. Through the BREW initiative, NBWA is committed to offering a robust forum for women leaders to grow professionally within the beer industry. This initiative has been long in the works, with the official launch put on hold by the COVID pandemic.
During the past few years, beverage companies of all sizes have dramatically stepped up their efforts to literally “change the face” of the beverage industry as they strive for more diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.
Deschutes Brewery, Portland, Ore., announced its collaboration with Dovetail Workwear, also based in Portland, to help further the mission of encouraging women to enter and succeed in non-traditional occupations, it says.
