Bottler to invest $500 million to transform facility

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling revealed plans for a substantial expansion of its operations at its current facility in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. With plans to invest $500 million to transform the facility, Rancho Cucamonga is set to become only the fourth location where Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling manufactures in California.
Founded in 1902, Coca-Cola Bottling Co. UNITED has grown to be the second largest privately owned bottler in North America. Under the leadership of its CEO John H. Sherman, the company has nearly quadrupled in size, going from 50,000 customers to 150,000, 20 facilities to 60 production and sales and distributions center and grew its revenue to $3 billion.
Rob Gehring will assume president, CEO position beginning Jan. 1, 2021

Swire Coca-Cola USA, Draper, Utah, announced that Jack Pelo, its president and chief executive officer (CEO) for the past 24 years, will retire at the end of this year. Rob Gehring, currently chief operating officer, will assume the president and CEO role beginning Jan. 1, 2021.

Bottler’s footprint expands within southern territories

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, Charlotte, N.C., announced that it entered into and completed transactions with The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, to exchange distribution territory.
Cott Corp., Tampa, Fla., announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its traditional beverage manufacturing business — Cott Beverages — to Refresco, the Netherlands, for $1.25 billion. The transaction includes Cott's North America, United Kingdom and Mexico businesses and excludes the RCI International division and its associated concentrate facility as well as the Aimia Foods division.
Charlotte, N.C.-based Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated announced a $10 million investment in its Baltimore manufacturing plant, located at 701 North Kresson St. Mayor Catherine Pugh joined company officials on a tour of the production center to learn more about the investment and manufacturing processes at the facility.
Reyes Holdings to expand into California and Nevada

Reyes Holdings LLC, Rosemont, Ill., announced that it has reached a new letter of intent with Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. for territory in California and Nevada, including the major metropolitan markets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas.
