Craft brewer will release rums, gins and vodkas in spring 2015

Following the expansion of its Milton, Del.-based brewery, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Inc. announced that the increased square footage will allow the craft brewer to expand production of its small-batch spirits.
Following the launch of its ArKay alcohol-free whiskey in 2011, ArKay Distributing Inc. recently added 15 new alcohol-free liquor-flavored beverages to the platform.

As the economy continues to expand, premium and super-premium distilled spirits are coming back stronger than ever, according to the Beverage Information & Insights Group’s “2014 Liquor Handbook.” The Norwalk, Conn.-based company reports that this premiumization trend means that consumers are drinking less but drinking “better,” which resulted in slower case sales growth of 2.2 percent, reaching 210 million 9-liter cases in 2013.
On Aug. 1, Berkshire Mountain Distillers Inc. will release its new Greylock Gin & Tonic ready-to-drink cocktail at retailers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Georgia and Massachusetts.

Seagram’s Gin, a brand of New York-based Pernod Ricard USA, launched its new Ginsider mobile application. The new app allows consumers to scan Seagram’s Peach and Pineapple Twisted Gin bottles to reveal exclusive videos and share them with friends through social media.
