The Washington, D.C.-based Beer Institute announced a new initiative to encourage its member companies to display specific consumer information on their products, packaging or websites.
The Top 100 beverage companies once again saw a change at its top spot. Based on 2015 financial sales, The Coca-Cola Co. reclaimed the No. 1 spot despite experiencing a sales decrease in comparison to 2014.

St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, a division of Anheuser-Busch InBev, announced an agreement to acquire Roseland, Va.-based Devils Backbone Brewing Co., a leading and fast-growing craft brewery in Virginia.

Shock Top brand to appear in Super Bowl ads for first time

Anheuser-Busch (A-B), the St. Louis-based subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, announced that for the 28th consecutive year it will serve as the exclusive category advertiser for the Super Bowl. On Feb. 7, the brewer will use the prominent advertising stage to spotlight Super Bowl veterans Budweiser and Bud Light, along with first-time Super Bowl advertiser Shock Top and returning Super Bowl advertiser Michelob Ultra, it says.
Stella Artois, a brand of Anheuser-Busch Inbev, Leuven, Belgium, and award-winning artist John Legend debuted "Under the Stars," an exclusive holiday single written and performed by Legend, which launched in conjunction with the Stella Artois Give Beautifully holiday campaign, the company says. The duet pays homage to the brand's name, "Stella," which directly translates to "star" in Latin, it adds.
The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), Alexandria, Va., hosted its 78th annual convention and tradeshow Oct. 11-14 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Beer brand to produce content for online NFL interactions

Bud Light, a brand of St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, is teaming up with its partner Google to market unique, premium content directly to football fans through its new Full Season Football program, which features content from the NFL and other properties on Google Search and YouTube. Beginning Sept. 10, the beer brand, sports leagues and video platform will partner to capture football fans on the coveted second screen, the company says.
