Americans seem to be busier than ever. The average work day is 8.6 hours, according to Rochester, N.Y.-based Harris Interactive, and 39 percent of Americans between the ages of 19 and 36 report that they do not have enough leisure time, according to Chicago-based Mintel.
Survey shows fewer than 1 in 4 have “emotional” conversations about food

The number of Americans who consider healthfulness when purchasing their food and beverages has shown a significant uptick in the past two years, according to the Washington, D.C.-based International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation’s 2014 Food and Health Survey. The survey also evaluated the “emotional” conversations consumers have about food, finding that fewer than one in four have these conversations.
In an effort to provide more options for consumers, Avitae USA LLC developed a bottled water with higher caffeine content than its two existing varieties to its line of Avitae Caffeinated Waters.
After launching Kickstart by Mountain Dew for the morning drinking occasion last year, PepsiCo Inc. added Black Cherry and Limeade flavors to its Kickstart by Mountain Dew lineup to fulfill the nighttime drinking occasion.
