Madison Chemical has introduced RAF Foaming Cleaner, a moderately alkaline, chlorinated, general purpose foaming cleaner that performs well under all water conditions. It produces a thick, stable, wet foam when used in a foam generator as a one-package cleaner, necessary for cleaning without permitting dry-out or run-off. The company notes that it cleans all ferrous, stainless and cuprous metals, specifically vertical and overhead surfaces, as well as machinery that is otherwise difficult to clean. RAF Foaming Cleaner is not recommended for use on painted surfaces, but is ideal as a general cleaner in food and beverage processing areas or in other departments with steam or mechanical cleaning devices, the company says. It is not intended for food contact, it adds. The cleaner rinses easily and completely without streaking when used with potable water — it is ideal for cleaning all types of food and beverage processing equipment, primarily on surfaces with mixing or grinding equipment, tanks, rotary conveyors, filling and sealing systems, canning and bottling machinery, to list a few, the company notes. No residue or odor is noticeable after use when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, it says. Madison Technical Sales Reps are available to assist with SOPs for concentrations and temperatures based on actual conditions as well.
