ProMach’s brand Texwrap demonstrated its updated DX-130 Dual Roll Bundler and the Kayat SRX-CUF Single Roll Bundler at PACK EXPO. The company describes that the newly updated DX-130 is “for workhorse productivity in a compact footprint.” The machine is just over 5 feet wide and 10 feet long, but Texwrap says that its small size does not limit its capabilities. The DX-130 can support bundles in a range from 4 inches by 6 inches by 7 inches, to 12 inches by 24 inches by 20 inches. It can be run up to 25 cycles a minute as well. The dual roll bundler runs an inline intermittent motion system ideal for wrapping trays of products. The wrapped trays are then conveyed through a tunnel for tight protection and unity for transport. It features an ergonomic film feed with film splice for safe film load and increased throughput, as well as a servo driven carriage for precision and reduced maintenance. The DX-130 also features a compact and durable construction. For operations looking for a single roll bundler, the Kayat SRX Series handles a variety of packaged food and beverage products, the company notes. It creates shrink bundled packages with bullseye closures using a bottom overlap seal technology for a strong seal and better product presentation, it says. The Kayat SRS Series has an ergonomic design, making it easy to operate and maintain, especially compared with competing systems. It is engineered with build-in predictive and preventive maintenance features that are controlled through the HMI, minimizing downtime. Additionally, Texwrap showcased the OSS-145 Continuous Motion Orbital Side Sealer. This is for applications requiring high-speed package wrapping, with a simple and easy-to-use design.
