Onyx Advent Calendar
Onyx invites coffee enthusiasts to join a worldwide community for a remarkable journey of flavor this December. This specially curated coffee box set features 24 bags of whole-bean coffee, each weighing 2 ounces (approximately 56 grams), highlighting a captivating variety of processing methods, origins, and flavor profiles.
Each selection is accompanied by detailed brewing instructions and access to Onyx’s Specialty Coffee Forum, allowing for a deep dive into the nuances that elevate the coffee experience.
“This year more than ever, our Advent Calendar transcends the coffee itself. It’s about fostering community,” said Jon Allen of Onyx, in a statement. “Imagine sharing your tasting notes and enthusiasm with thousands of coffee lovers, all discovering the same brew on the same day. It’s a global celebration of coffee, and you’re at the very heart of it.”
With this Advent Calendar, each day brings a new flavor experience. Onyx has gathered 17 different varieties of coffees from eight countries and 20 distinct growing regions, each carefully processed using methods ranging from washed and natural to the refined honey process. Each cup reveals new insights into the story of specialty coffee, with every sip offering insight into the unique terroirs, producers and methods that shape its flavor.
The pre-order price of $175 is available until Nov. 1, when the advent will be at full price, $189.
Limited Edition Holiday Coffees
Framily is a holiday coffee embodies the joy of spending time with friends and family, the company says. This washed coffee from Chelbessa is a developed medium roast creating complex cocoa notes mixed with sweet berry cobbler-like flavors. This coffee is approachable and designed to accommodate everyone.
Krampus is a peaberry selection that hails from the Rungeto Factory in Kenya’s Kii cooperative. Sourced from peak outturns, it allows us to offer this special seasonal single-origin coffee, rich with deep chocolate and burned citrus notes.
Framily and Krampus are playfully marketed as “friendly” and “unfriendly” holiday roasts, respectively.
