Earlier this year, pop singer Sabrina Carpenter released her song “Espresso.” The song quickly became an earworm for its catchy chorus, “Say you can’t sleep, baby, I know / That’s that me espresso,” and lines like “I’m working late / ‘Cause I’m a singer.”
Not only are consumers enjoying songs about coffee, there are a plethora of new coffee beverages for them to enjoy. Consumers can even celebrate their love for coffee on Sept. 29, which is National Coffee Day. Ahead of the caffeine-fueled holiday, below is a list of new coffee products:
Equator Coffees & Steeped Coffee: Two California-based coffee brands have teamed up to create a more eco-friendly coffee option. Equator Coffee’s Cold Brew Blend will be available in Steeped Brew Bags. The rich, smooth flavors of Equator’s Cold Brew Blend are available in easy-to-use, eco-friendly format. The blend must be steeped for 12-24 hours with no equipment required. “As always, Equator is committed to making coffee approachable and accessible, while staying true to our values of sustainability and quality,” said Shelby Colley, head of marketing at Equator Coffees, in a statement. “Partnering with Steeped Coffee allows us to offer our customers a convenient and sustainable way to enjoy cold brew at home, without compromising on the experience they’ve come to love. We’re thrilled to introduce this product, which aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional coffee with a positive impact on both people and the planet.” The product is available for purchase on Equator Coffee’s website and will soon be on Amazon.
Kloo: Earlier this year, Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Mariella Choo co-founded Kloo coffee. Kloo is a coffee concentrate developed and produced by a Q Grader, the coffee equivalent of a sommelier. The brewing process includes in-house roasting and then precise brewing to ensure clarity in every cup. The concentrate is aged just enough for the flavors to mature, emphasizing the best notes. The brands 12-times coffee concentrate flavors include an array of coffees from the countries of Columbia, Kenya, Ethiopia and Guatemala. Kloo delivers directly to consumers.
Copper Cow Coffee: Vietnamese coffee brand Copper Cow recently expanded its premium ground coffee lineup. Vanilla Chai Ground Coffee and Coconut Ground Coffee joined the brand’s portfolio as of Sept. 12. Copper Cow drew inspiration from global flavor trends and consumer demand, while also keeping in dedication to the brand’s dedication to sustainably sourced Vietnamese coffee. Both flavors are made with Vietnamese robusta coffee, accented with real herbs and spices ground directly into the coffee beans. The products contain no added sugar or artificial flavors. Made with organic Madagascan vanilla beans, Vanilla Chai features Cardamom from India and Vietnamese cinnamon and ginger for a floral, spiced twist on the dirty chai. Toasted Coconut is inspired by Cà Phê Dừa, one of Vietnam’s most beloved coffee drinks. It features real organic coconut sourced from Sri Lanka that is ground directly into the coffee beans, resulting in a nuanced and nutty coffee, with subtle toasted notes and a hint of sweetness.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf: On Sept. 4, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf announced a range of its capsules that are compatible with Nespresso Original machines. The brand calls the capsules “a perfect blend of convenience and flavor.” Crafted with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s specialty coffee beans, the capsules are available in an array of roasts and flavors, including Colombia, Bali Blue Moon, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and their signature espresso, the World Blend ’63. “At The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, our dedication to delivering extraordinary coffee experiences has been unwavering since 1963,” said Dee Hadley, head of marketing at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand. “We’re excited to introduce our new coffee capsules — a new way to enjoy our exceptional coffee at home. These capsules not only allow coffee lovers to embark on a global journey of flavors, discovering the world one cup at a time, but also align with the growing trend of at-home coffee consumption. Many find comfort and joy in making and savoring coffee at home.”
SOWN: Plant-based creamer brand debuted its latest innovation, Oat Cold Foaming Cream, earlier this month. With this launch, SOWN “expands upon its promise to offer convenient, affordable and simple ways to recreate the barista experience at home,” the brand said in a statement. The new Oat Cold Foaming Cream is crafted for coffee connoisseurs and makes getting the dreamily creamy cold foam consumers crave more convenient than ever. The product features notes of vanilla for a perfectly sweet, plant-based treat that adds a taste of indulgence to any cold brew or iced coffee beverage, the brand adds. SOWN’s new product is Non-GMO Project certified, gluten free certified and kosher certified. Additionally, 70% of SOWN’s cartons are made from renewable, plant-based materials.
