Tire and automotive technology supplier Continental Tire introduced the ContiConnect LITE. The product aims to act as a bridge between tire sensors and tire management. The ContiConnect LITE is a simple and free-of-charge gateway to selected ContiConnect functionality through a smartphone, the company notes. With this new digital tool, the company is allowing fleets and truck drivers to test the state-of-the-art system for free to show them that routine tire checks can improve the overall health and maintenance of their vehicle’s tires. The tool is for those who have Generation II sensors or Continental Intelligent Tires, but have not yet signed up for a Yard Reader or a Live System. ContiConnect LITE gives users the opportunity to access their tire data through Bluetooth, connecting to the ContiConnect On-Site App and sharing tire pressure and temperature (TPMS) with the user. The user must register online to gain instant information into their tires’ conditions. Users can create, manage and configure up to five vehicles and track the tire data. By checking the condition of tires, the ContiConnect LITE brings benefit, especially to smaller fleets, the company says.
