Texas-based Vacuum Interrupters, a leading manufacturer of replacement vacuum interrupters and parts, has introduced the WL-23326C. The product is the company’s latest replacement vacuum interrupter, and is a direct fit-and-function replacement for the Westinghouse WL-23326C vacuum interrupter. It meets original equipment ratings and is intended for use in the Westinghouse VACUTAP UVT load tap changer, the company notes. The interrupter replacement “is built to provide excellent high-voltage insulation, high cumulative and breaking capacity, exclusive internal torsion control and an exception vacuum seal thanks to a fine alumina ceramic,” it says. The WL-23326C offers 1500 A RMS-rated current, 15.5 kV RMS maximum voltage, 110 kV peak impulse withstand, as well as 20 kA RMS-rated short-circuit breaking current. The WL-23326C interrupter replacement requires no modification for proper installation or operation within the existing electrical equipment. The company says it can provide assembly components and mounting hardware to aid in installation and shorten downtime.
