To develop the lighter wine line, [ yellow tail ] began with the grapes, which are specially cultivated, and picked at exactly the right moment to maximize brightness and acidity, it says. Once harvested, [ yellow tail ] winemakers use proprietary blending techniques and gentle reverse osmosis to reduce alcohol content and ultimately calories while maintaining all of the original flavor, it adds. With an 8.5% ABV, Sauvignon Blanc evokes notes of light citrus and lemongrass complement undertones of gooseberry, lime and a hint of passionfruit. Also with an 8.5% ABV, Pinot Grigio delivers aromas of pear, hints of green apples and passionfruit. Meanwhile Chardonnay has a 9.6% ABV while evoking aromas of citrus, lemon and white peach, with a light spice and vanilla undertone, the company says. All PURE BRIGHT wines are packaged in 750-ml with a suggested retail price of less than $7.
