Swilled Dog Hard Cider released its latest varietal: Sangria. Containing no added sugar, Swilled Dog Sangria is made with a carefully selected blend of apples, and finished with lemons, lime and cherries. The addition of cherry helps create a slightly ruby color, reminiscent of traditional sangrias, the company says. Meanwhile fresh and zesty lemons and limes complement the tartness of the apples, making Swilled Dog Sangria less sweet than wine-based sangrias, it adds. With alcohol by volume of 6.9 percent, Swilled Dog Sangria will be available on tap and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans for a suggested retail price of $9.99 in local stores, bars and restaurants in West Virginia, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Each can of Swilled Dog Sangria contains 180 calories, 11 grams of sugar and 14 grams of carbohydrates.
