Poland Spring Brand 100% Natural Spring Water recently announced a collaboration with the University of Maine and its Forest Bioproducts Research Institute to evaluate and develop bio-based solutions to serve as alternative packaging for its products. As part of the effort, the University of Maine will explore new uses of materials derived from sustainably harvested Maine wood. NWNA says it is committed to achieving 25 percent recycled plastic across its U.S. domestic portfolio by 2021 and reaching 50 percent by 2025.
