J. Rieger & Co., Kansas City, Mo., has joined the coronavirus fight. The craft distiller is stepping up to help combat the hand sanitizer shortage by producing its own alcohol-based solution.
J. Rieger & Co. will be packaging the hand sanitizer in small bottles, available for pick-up only from the distillery. To continue to provide responsible solutions and a steady income for its team, the hand sanitizer will be available on a pay-what-you-can scale.
The company also has developed “Take Home Cocktails Kits.” Customers can choose from one of 10 offerings from the popular Monogram Lounge cocktail menu, ice included, for pickup. Consumers also can add a sandwich and kettle chips, or any of their non-perishable food items to the order.
As a small, family owned distillery, J. Rieger & Co. is committed to supporting its 95-plus team members and is making every effort to mitigate any financial impact, while also providing the best for the greater Kansas City community, the company says. J. Rieger & Co.’s on-site bars and events currently are closed to the public. The new cocktails-to-go and Rieger sanitizer offer a tremendous, direct benefit to the hospitality team.
