Sixpoint Brewery has released three new beers: Trail Haze Hazy “Adventure” IPA, Hootie Hazy IPA, and Meltdown Hazy IIPA as part of its year-round lineup. The three new year-round beers have been tested at small-scale extensively through multiple releases, incorporating feedback, and even surveying a group of “Super Fans” on their opinions of the beers across several iterations, the company says. Trail Haze is a 4 percent alcohol-by-volume (ABV), 99-calorie Hazy “adventure” IPA, hopped with Southern Hemisphere varietals such as Vic Secret and Enigma, as well as Mosaic, and produced without any sweeteners or flavorings. Hootie is a 6.2 percent ABV, 5 IBU IPA that is dry-hopped with three hops directly sourced from farms in the Pacific Northwest and Idaho — Idaho 7, El Dorado, and Amarillo — with Australian Galaxy hops to boost the overall potency, the company says. Meltdown, an 8 percent ABV, 20 IBU, double IPA intensely hopped with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria. This beer has a smooth, soft, hazy body meant to be extremely lush and juicy, the company says. Available in six-packs of 12-ounce slim cans, Trail Haze and Hootie varieties have a suggested retail price of $10.99 a pack, and Meltdown is $12.99 a pack.
