At the ProMAT tradeshow, ELOKON showcased several innovations including its reimagined, app-based ELOfleet forklift management system. Available for Android smartphones, tablets or warehouse management system (WMS) terminals, the app allows users to control forklift access, perform safety checklists, monitor vehicle impacts and manage forklift fleet data, the company says. Other features of the software gives drivers the ability to log into lift trucks through the Android device’s radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader as well as provide app-managed safety checklists. The MEMS impact sensor reports reliable real-time impact data through the app while Bluetooth sensors and “black box” technology allows for a quick and easy install, it adds. In addition, the system provides web-based dashboards with drill-down reporting and analyzes a wide range of lift truck data with key performance indicators (KPIs). Because ELOfleet is OEM-independent, it can be installed on any type of industrial truck and is ideal for mixed fleet portfolios, it says. Customers also have the ability to customize to their own brand with individualized safety messages.
