Rockwell Automation announces the release of its newly enhanced Studio 5000 Software that optimizes productivity and reduces design time, the company says. The latest release includes a modern user interface and productivity-enhancing features across all applications to help engineers improve productivity from design to deployment. The Studio 5000 Logix Designer application now includes updates to several programming languages and a structured text editor to help optimize design time. The text editor has been updated with many new features, such as collapsible code segments and inline value monitoring for more productive programming and editing, it says. Other features include a new Logix tag-based alarm functionality to enable engineers to easily add alarms to structures, new drive safety instructions and motion instructions for expanded kinematic support, and multi-monitor support and tabbed views for improved usability and reduced design time.
