Cooper & Thief Cellarmasters announced the release of its 2016 Cooper & Thief Sauvignon Blanc. This particular variety of Cooper & Thief is aged for three months in ex-Casa Noble Anejo tequila barrels, the company says. The aging of the Sauvignon Blanc gives it acidity as well as subtle heat, with notes of citrus, spice, and vanilla, it adds. The varietal composition of the Sauvignon Blanc is 78 percent Sauvignon Blanc, 12 percent French Colombard, and 10 percent Semillon with other white wines, the company says. Cooper & Thief is available at alcohol retailers nationwide in 750-ml bottles. It offers a 16.5 percent alcohol by volume content and has a suggested retail price of $29.99.
