AMC’s popular TV show “The Walking Dead” has been captivating viewers for eight seasons now. But now when family and friends gather for viewing parties, they also can imbibe with The Walking Dead Wine collection.

It seems as though the readers of Beverage Industry were enthused with the new brand label as well as the collection won the magazine’s Readers’ Choice: New Product of the Month poll for February. With 37 percent of the vote, The Walking Dead Wine collection beat out the competition. At 13.5 percent alcohol by volume, the collection is comprised of a 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2015 Blood Red Blend. The wines feature labels inspired by the comic and TV series “The Walking Dead” and respond to the Living Wine Labels app, an augmented reality app that brings the labels to life, the company says.

Placing second in the poll was Mtn Dew Ice, a clear version of the lemon-lime flavored carbonated soft drink. The new soft drink finished with 13 percent of the vote.

Rounding out the Top 3 was JUST Infused, a new line from JUST Water. The new line, which features Organic Apple Cinnamon, Organic Tangerine and Organic Lemon, received 10 percent of the vote.
