Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project announced the release of Coffee Baltic Porter, an 8.5 percent alcohol-by-volume coffee porter. As part of its Limited Release Series, Coffee Baltic Porter focuses on the art of coffee roasting, showcasing the uniqueness of the ingredient, the company says. For this brew, Crooked Stave uses locally roasted coffee from Method Coffee Roasters, located in Denver, it says. Through conditioning of its Baltic porter with freshly roasted beans, the brew offers a balanced character, adding dark sugar, plum and cocoa notes to the robust porter base, it adds. Coffee Baltic Porter is packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce cans that are available at the Crooked Stave tasting room and throughout Colorado.
