Lavazza Premium Coffees Corp. introduced a new varietal to its lineup of ground coffees: Intenso. A blend of Arabica and Robusta beans, Intenso’s dark roasting enhances its strength and body, making way for a lingering, dynamic and characteristically Italian taste profile, the company says. The blend features a balance of smoky and caramelized flavors with warm chocolaty notes, it adds. Initially launched in the East Coast and Canada, Intenso now is available nationwide packaged in 12-ounce bags that have a suggested retail price of $9.99.
