For low- to no-calorie products, PureCircle now offers new stevia-based solutions from its Zeta Family. The ingredients in the Zeta Family are made with steviol glycosides Reb M and Reb D, offering the most sugar-like taste, the company says. “Sweetening low- to zero-calorie beverages has been especially challenging for stevia,” said John Martin, PureCircle’s global director of technical development and innovation, in a statement. “... Now we have a naturally sourced option with the Zeta ingredients. At these deep levels of reductions, it is impressive to see the impact of these glycosides, delivering the clean, sweet taste with no bitterness that consumers want.” A selection of Zeta Family ingredients currently are available, others will become available throughout 2016 and into 2017.
